Course overview

The following Assisted Living Facility OSHA Training for Healthcare Providers educates healthcare providers (HCP) on how to protect themselves and others while adhering to State and Federal OSHA regulations. Furthermore, healthcare providers will learn about the Bloodborne Pathogen Standard, Hazard Communication Standard, work safety procedures, and considerations for intimacy among residents. Congress established the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), with the purpose of creating safe and health conscience work conditions. Moreover, OSHA sets and enforces standards and provides training, outreach, education, and assistance. Furthermore, OSHA estimates that 5.6 million workers in the healthcare industry and related occupations are at risk of exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
