Chronic & End-Stage Renal Disease Part 1: Overview for Nurses

Course overview

This course provides nurses with an overview of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) from onset to end-stage. Prevalence, risk factors, major causes, and stages of CKD and end-stage renal disease (ESRD) will be presented. Review of renal anatomy and glomerular filtration rate will also be covered. This course is appropriate for nurses working in any setting, but particularly targets acute care, long-term care, home health care, and inpatient rehabilitation.
