Module 1: Welcome to the principles of Behavioural Economics: More familiar than you think In this module, attendees will learn the main principles of behavioural economics, the definitions, and the omnipresence of each in our daily decision making. Module 2: Beyond motivational interviewing and active listening...there is a science to soft skills in healthcare In this module, attendees will learn how to apply the principles of behavioural economics to their subjective examination (interview), as well as verbal interactions with both patients and caregivers. Module 3: Maximise engagement using natural human tendencies: Diagnosis, treatment, home exercise and discharge This module aims to provide attendees with a comprehensive understanding of how gamification, nudging, and choice burden can be utilised to enhance patient management strategies. Participants will explore the potential of these concepts to improve patient engagement, adherence to treatment plans, and overall health outcomes. Through interactive discussions, case studies, and practical examples, attendees will learn how to identify opportunities and effectively leverage gamification, nudging, and choice burden techniques in patient management. Module 4: Helping patients choose for their best interest, recovery and wellness This module is designed to provide attendees with an in-depth understanding of gamification and the concept of nudging, and how these strategies can be effectively utilised in the context of prevention and long-term wellness. Through interactive discussions, case studies, and practical examples, participants will explore the potential of gamification and nudging techniques to promote positive behaviour change, enhance engagement, and improve overall health and well-being outcomes.
