Course overview

Module 1: What is hip OA? This module will describe the prevalence of hip OA, including the rapid increase in hip replacement rates worldwide. It will consider common risk factors for hip OA including morphology, occupation, sport, and sedentary lifestyle. It will discuss the concept of hip pain in younger people probably being early hip OA. It will finally consider the burden of hip pain being higher in women across the lifespan, and the need to consider sex/gender specific treatments. Module 2: Assessment of hip OA This module will guide clinicians in how to perform an evidence-based subjective and objective assessment to (i) accurately diagnose hip OA; and (ii) evaluate impairments to inform the development of an individualised treatment program. It will also consider the role of imaging in the diagnosis of hip OA. Module
