Course overview

This three (3) hour distance based course covers topics important for the chiropractic sports physician. Defining the role of the chiropractic physician within a sports medicine team and what skills are needed to integrate into a sports setting will be discussed. Utilization rates of chiropractors when practicing full time in a sports medicine setting and legal considerations of the sports chiropractor will also be covered. Spinal injury rates in collegiate sports, catastrophic spine injuries, and Emergency Action Plans (EAP's) & spine in sports guidelines will also be discussed.
