This 6-hour course covers the most commonly performed internal medicine ultrasound examinations in the horse (abdomen, thorax, cardiac, and vessels). The course will be divided into 3 hours of lecture-based sessions which will include indications for each exam, normal structures and appearances to assess, and abnormalities that may be encountered. The second half of the course will have participants practice ultrasound examinations on live horses, one site at a time. After ultrasounding each site, participants will come together to discuss findings and any difficulties or questions that arose.
