Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (SUID) is among the most difficult cases a first responder can experience. Due to its nature, it is important to understand the steps in place to prepare for this scene, provide all care possible, and how to cope with all outcomes in the end. In this course, we will discuss the common etiologies, including the leading cause of infant death, SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome), and best practices for providers and leadership, including preparation, documentation, and support for the family and responders.
