Course overview

Over 800,000 total knee arthroplasties (TKAs) are done in the U.S. each year, and physical therapy professionals will work with patients rehabilitating from a TKA that represent a wide range of ages and abilities. This course provides an overview of the most common surgical techniques and reviews evidence-based rehabilitation interventions for the post-acute phase of healing in home health and outpatient settings. Best practices to align rehabilitation trajectory given health history and age are also addressed.
