Course overview
As a result of this activity, healthcare professionals will better understand the ethical principles and professional boundaries of nursing and be more confident in applying the standards set forth by the Texas Nursing Practice Act and the Texas Board of Nursing to enhance their practice. By the end of this course, you will be able to: 1. Discuss the general scope of practice of different levels of nursing as outlined in the Texas Nursing Practice Act; 2. Discuss standards of nursing practice; 3. Review the BON's position statements; 4. Discuss the nine provisions of Ethics for Nurses; 5. Discuss professional boundaries; 6. Identify unprofessional conduct in nursing;
