Objective 1: Have a better understanding of Ohios Safe Harbor law, how to implement its protections in the juvenile justice system, and adapt diversion programs to better serve youth experiencing trafficking. Objective 2: Learn how to develop Safe Harbor diversion programs, including which screening processes to employ; how to identify cases; and how to establish a collaborative, strengths-based process to help youth experiencing trafficking recover, leveraging community resources to address their individual needs. Objective 3: Be better equipped to establish a multidisciplinary team for responding to juvenile human trafficking that includes identifying key stakeholders, engaging community partners, and establishing protocols to better recognize and respond to juvenile trafficking.
