Course overview
Explore dysafferentation as a subluxation, allowing the learner to compare and contrast it with other subluxation models. Reviewing receptor function, cervical and vestibular reflexes, nociception and the concepts of maladaptive plasticity in the brain, you will gain an insight into how subluxations can affect the nervous system beyond the nerve roots. Eight simple tests to assess dysafferentation are presented, as well as an explanation of how adjustments can be used to correct dysafferentation.
