Course overview

Effective and efficient management of individuals with wounds requires a multifaceted and multidisciplinary approach. Determining the best course of treatment for patients with various wound presentation may become frustrating due to the primary pathologies and contributing medical complexities (aka co-morbidities) that are present in this patient population. The goal of this three-hour interactive course is to provide the healthcare clinician a guide for appropriate identification, assessment, and treatment of common and less common wound types. There will also be a hands-on lab for learning key concepts for selective sharp debridement and multi-layer compression wrapping.
