Course overview

Presented by Christina McGrath, PhD, LMHC Practitioners licensed as clinical social workers, marriage and family therapist, and mental health counselors completing this course have completed the requirement of three (3) hours of continuing education related to Ethics and Boundaries in Counseling. This requirement is to be completed every other biennium following initial licensure. Learning Objectives: Ethics and Boundaries Understand the Ethical Framework for Counseling Practices Participants will explore ethical decision-making models and their application to real-world counseling scenarios, ensuring compliance with professional standards. Evaluate Professional Boundaries in Counseling Relationships Attendees will learn to identify and address boundary issues, focusing on maintaining professional integrity and safeguarding client welfare. Analyze Ethical Dilemmas in Counseling Practice Practitioners will engage in case studies to critically evaluate and resolve ethical dilemmas, ensuring adherence to ethical codes and state regulations.
