Course overview

Bridging the gap between bystanders and active participants is a key component to increasing engagement and fostering positive change in group therapy settings. Especially for patients with attention deficits, long-winded, lecture-style sessions will not be as effective for promoting engagement, reflection, and retention. In this presentation, Dr. Patterson will unveil several approaches for increasing group participant engagement, including icebreakers, group activities, and other immersive experiences that will have everyone chiming in. By the end of the course, you will be equipped with the tools you need to ensure nobody is left out in group sessions.
