Course overview
Behavioral health professionals must thoughtfully and ethically address the complex interplay between physical health and psychological well-being. This course will focus on managing the complex relationship between weight and behavioral health, with a particular emphasis on serious mental illness (SMI). It will explore how weight and behavioral health influence each other, address health disparities and stigma, and introduce motivational interviewing (MI) techniques. Additionally, the course will offer strategies for optimizing holistic health improvements.
