Course overview

This course defines the role the provider plays in setting professional boundaries in the practice. The provider has a fiduciary duty to act in the best interest of the patient, is ultimately responsible for managing boundaries, and is accountable should violations occur. Discussion of the meaning of dual relationships and how to manage a professional boundary in these situations enables the provider to know when a conflict has arisen and professional boundaries are crossed and/or violated.
