At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to: 1. Discuss the mechanisms of action, role and pros/cons of SGLT2-inhibitors and finerenone in the prevention of CKD progression. 2. Discuss the mechanisms of action, pharmacokinetic, and pharmacodynamic characteristics of loop and thiazide diuretic agents. 3. Describe the mechanisms of action and pros/cons of therapies for the management of hyperkalemia, anemia, and CKD-MBD. 4. Choose an appropriate management for edema, acute and chronic hyperkalemia, anemia, and CKD-MDB in a patient with CKD. 5. Discuss the mechanisms of action, role and pros/cons of current and emerging therapies for the treatment of IgA Nephropathy.
