SURGICAL MANAGEMENT OF CONGENITAL AORTIC STENOSIS PRESENTS COMPLEX CHALLENGES, PARTICULARLY IN NEONATES, INFANTS, AND CHILDREN. THE ANATOMY OF THE LEFT VENTRICULAR OUTFLOW TRACT AND THE AORTIC ROOT IS INTRICATE, REQUIRING PRECISE PREOPERATIVE ASSESSMENT FOR SUCCESSFUL INTERVENTIONS. VALVE-SPARING PROCEDURES, SUCH AS THE ROSS PROCEDURE WITH OR WITHOUT KONNO MODIFICATION, ARE OFTEN EMPLOYED TO DELAY MORE DEFINITIVE PROCEDURES LIKE AORTIC VALVE REPLACEMENT. HOWEVER, THE DECISION TO ENLARGE A HYPOPLASTIC AORTIC ROOT, AVOIDING CIRCULATORY FAILURE AND EXCESSIVE LEFT VENTRICULAR HYPERTROPHY, IS CRITICAL. VARIOUS SURGICAL APPROACHES, INCLUDING THE ROSS-KONNO AND KONNO-RASTAN PROCEDURES, ARE TAILORED TO THE PATIENT’S ANATOMY AND CLINICAL PRESENTATION WHILE ADDRESSING COMORBIDITIES LIKE ENDOCARDIAL FIBROELASTOSIS, MITRAL VALVE ABNORMALITIES, AND PULMONARY HYPERTENSION.CLINICIANS IN THIS COURSE GAIN COMPREHENSIVE KNOWLEDGE OF VARIOUS SURGICAL APPROACHES TO CONGENITAL AORTIC STENOSIS, INCLUDING PATIENT SELECTION, TIMING OF INTERVENTION, AND PROCEDURAL TECHNIQUES.
