Course overview

Training is essential for health care providers to gain proficiency in the administration and interpretation of the TB skin test. While use of the TB blood tests is preferred, there is still a need for health care providers and trained health care professionals to learn how to complete a TB risk assessment, correctly administer the Mantoux TB Skin Test (TST), and correctly read and interpret the TST result based on risk factors identified and millimeters of induration. This course requires 3.5 clock hours to complete and offers 3 CE credits to licensed nurses.
