- Discuss the prevalence and course of diabetes, including 6 common comorbid conditions associated with poor disease management.
- Identify 5 psychological symptoms (e.g., anxiety, depression, sexual dysfunction) that commonly co-occur, as well as their influence on medical outcomes in diabetic patients.
- Clinically apply 5 theory- and evidence-based clinical approaches to improve emotional regulation, enhance disease management, and thereby improve medical outcomes for clients with diabetes with and without co-morbid mental health conditions.
