Course overview

In the setting of a neurodegenerative diagnosis, traditional aphasia rehabilitation approaches to evaluation and treatment no longer serve to promote communication in decline. This webinar will review a person-centered approach to primary progressive aphasia, highlighting the role of the speech-language pathologist (SLP) as a partner with the family and client in establishing meaningful, accessible, and flexible language supports to maintain participation and quality of life. Attendees will examine the critical skills of counseling and education, viewing the role of SLP as a guide across all phases of this challenging aphasia journey.
