Course overview

On November 18, 2024, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released Revised Long-Term Care (LTC) Surveyor Guidance: Significant revisions to enhance quality and oversight of the LTC Survey Process. The memo included significant changes to guidance in Appendix PP related to the updated regulatory areas. The changes will be effective, and surveyors will begin surveying based on the revised guidance, on March 24, 2025. This virtual, live training will provide the entire nursing center interdisciplinary team with a detailed overview of these new survey revisions and regulatory guidelines and how surveyors will use this guidance to determine compliance for skilled nursing facilities. The two-hour program will feature the RB Health Partners, Inc. team, who will outline changes related to unnecessary psychotropic medications, resident admissions, transfers and discharges and other areas that affect daily operations and care.
