Chest wall resection and reconstruction represent challenging cases. They require careful attention to the diagnosis, the imaging and the surgical planning. In this course, the participants will be exposed to the state-of-the-art techniques to perform with success a chest wall resection and reconstruction. Anesthesia is a critical part of the success for these cases since the pleural space will be entered. Different techniques for pain management will be documented to help the recovery of the patient. Post-operative care is paramount for the success of the procedure. The pulmonary and cardiac physiologies can be deeply affected after chest wall reconstruction.
