Course overview
This continuing education course provides participants with an understanding of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), focusing on its practical application across diverse clinical contexts. Participants will enhance their ability to tailor CBT interventions to address specific client needs, ensuring that they practice ethically and with cultural sensitivity. Drawing on the latest research in CBT and evidence-based practice, this course offers participants the tools to effectively implement CBT techniques while maintaining a high standard of ethical responsibility and cultural competence. By integrating theory with clinical practice, participants will leave the course equipped to manage complex client presentations using CBT in diverse therapeutic settings. For purposes of this course, the words client and patient will be used interchangeably. In addition, the words clinician, psychologist, therapist, provider, and practitioner will also be used interchangeably.
