AACE - Stage I: Introductory Level to Clinical Electrodiagnosis

Course overview

Stage I Introductory Level to Clinical Electrodiagnosis consists of lecture and laboratory instruction with emphasis on electrophysiology, biomedical instrumentation, nerve conduction testing of common upper and lower extremity nerves, and basic electromyography (EMG). Successful completion of this stage requires completion of all online lectures and quizzes, reading all assigned readings, and completing the three-day on-site session. Completion of stage I requires the completion of 25 single limb studies on non-patients. The student needs to score 70% on each of these case reports using the established grading rubric/guideline. These studies should be a mix of both upper and lower extremity studies. These studies should have all information that could identify individuals removed, unless the information was transmitted through a password protected, HIPAA compliant mechanism.
