Course overview

Stage II Basic Level Clinical Electrodiagnosis consists of lecture and laboratory instruction with emphasis uncommon NCS studies, integration of EMG and NCS, and case studies. Successful completion of this stage requires completion of all online lectures and quizzes, reading all assigned readings, completing one three-day on-site session, and passing a comprehensive written exam and practical exam from all material from Stage I and online material from Stage II with a minimum score of 70%. Attendance of stage II, requires the completion of 25 single limb studies on non-patients. The student needs to score 70% on each of these case reports using the established grading rubric/guideline. These studies should be a mix of both upper and lower extremity studies. These studies should have all information that could identify individuals removed, unless the information was transmitted through a password protected, HIPAA compliant mechanism.
