Course overview

This continuing education course is designed to raise awareness about sexual harassment in occupational therapy academia and provide practitioners with the knowledge and tools to address this critical issue. Participants will learn about the various forms of sexual harassment, individual and organizational risk factors, and the impact on victims and the profession. The course will also discuss strategies for prevention, reporting, and addressing sexual harassment at both individual and institutional levels.Target Audience: Occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, occupational therapy studentsThis occupational therapy continuing education course uses the following instructional methods: visual aides (ie slides), discussion, guided note taking and case study. Learning Objectives: 1. Describe sexual harassment and its various forms. 2. Identify the individual and organizational risk factors that contribute to sexual harassment in settings in which occupational therapy practitioners work. 3.
