Randall Thomas, OD, MPH, FAAO Course Description This discussion will provide the clinician with up-to-date information on diagnosing and treating eye diseases. The goal is to enhance the clinicians skills in medically managing a variety of ocular conditions. The discussion will center around current and evolving trends in the eye care world to sharpen the clinicians skills in diagnosing and medically managing a variety of ocular disease entities. Helpful clinical pearls that have been accumulated from years of clinical practice will be shared while remaining immersed in the latest medical research and literature. Learning Objectives 1. To equip the doctor with a practical, clinical base of information regarding the current trends in medical management 2. To provide overview of all aspects of a comprehensive evaluation. 3. To give the doctor a better knowledge of how the various drugs fit into the treatment plan. 4. Present medical management options that will allow all in attendance to gain more confidence in their assessment and treatment of the challenges encountered 5. To provide information from various forms of professional literature from the top specialists in their particular field of expertise. 6. To motivate the doctor to continually read the literature in order to keep up with the quickly changing advances in medical management.
