Cecelia Koetting, OD FAAO Dip ABO When evaluating new patients to your practice or a previous patient, it is important to monitor optic nerve changes. When we see RNFL thinning and or visual field loss, we know we need to treat the patient for glaucoma. But what is the true underlying etiology? In this lecture we will explore the diagnostic and management differences between primary open angle and low tension glaucoma versus secondary glaucoma and other ONH changes. Objectives: 1. Define secondary glaucoma 2. Discuss common causes of secondary glaucoma 3. Discuss diagnostic differences in OCT and HVF to identify certain etiology 4. Discuss indications of ordering blood work, MRI/MRV and what to order 5. Discuss current treatments secondary glaucoma 6. Discuss FDA trials and future Tx
