Self-paced Online Home Study Body Cushion Prenatal Massage Practice Session

Course overview

In this short 3 CE hour course, we'll teach how to use a variety of prenatal cushions for prenatal massage application.  We'll demonstrate both pronated work, and how to fold the cushions and have the client roll over into a semi-recumbent position, using the cushions to keep the client on a minimum 30 degree incline to protect their fetus and themselves. We'll also demonstrate how to set up the cushions, the various accessories and bolstering suggestions that can be used with different body cushion systems, and we include some video of body cushion manufacturer information of how these cushions are designed and used to accommodate pregnant clients and their massage therapists. Students will be provided the opportunity to watch the instructor demonstrations and then practice along with the same instructor demo's.  A printed step-by-step sequence of massage strokes provided with body cushion application is included in the training for students to download.
