Course overview

Palliative care, as a person approaches the end of life, is a multifaceted, multidisciplinary responsibility for many healthcare professionals, both in the community and within many of our healthcare facilities including hospitals, long term care facilities and free-standing hospice environments. The purpose of this course is to provide the learner with some basic information about palliative care at the end of life, a service and an aspect of care that has been recognized as one that requires in depth knowledge and skill for us to provide this service to our patients in the best way possible.
