TREATING INFERTILITY WITH THE EIGHT EXTRAORDINARY VESSELS

Course overview

The course will examine the treatment of infertility and sub-fertility through the theory of the 8 Extraordinary Vessels. Topics of discussion will include: a Daoist perspective on conception, conception preparation and early first trimester symptoms and complications. We will explore the modern day treatment of infertility through Chinese medicine and discuss appropriate parallel care including 8 extra treatments to support and increase the efficacy of western medical protocols such as IUI and IVF. Students will be introduced to both the physical and psycho-emotional functions of the 8 extras and how those are applied to the treatment of infertility.
