TARGET AUDIENCE This activity is intended for all HCPs (physicians, allied healthcare professionals) who are on the frontlines of patient care and directly manage patients on a daily basis. EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to: Recognize the prevalence of migraine in black/African American patients compared with other patient populations. Recognize the racial and gender disparities that exist in diagnosis and treatment of migraine in the United States. Discuss the social determinants of health disparities in headache medicine, especially concerning black/African American female patients. Identify solutions to mitigate health care disparities in migraine treatment to improve outcomes for black/African American patients with migraine.
