Therapeutic activities comprise the functional activities that make up an individual's day to day life. The inability to perform these activities is often what will bring people into rehabilitation. Clinicians are responsible for man-aging the tissue specific impairments which may limit participation in functional activities. Although the focus of many rehabilitation programs is building mobility, motor control and strength, simply improving these parameters does not ensure the ability to apply this to ADLs/IADLs. This course will cover current evidence for the application of therapeutic activities in the clinical setting. It will use the evidence to help clinicians better understand the prescription of these interventions in the clinic and at home to maximize recovery of function.
