This two day workshop instructs basic principles and practices of myofascial release therapy. This class has a maximum of 8 students with is a close to a private class as can be. The participants will have a understanding of the function of fascial and its role in chronic pain. The focus is on identification of fascial restriction through visual assessment and palpitation. Participants are instructed in basic foundational myofascial release therapeutic techniques, including the awareness of subtle changes in fascial tissue during treatment. There will be both a lecture and lab portions. The hands-on lab will focus on instructing and practicing proper technique and body mechanics.

Learning Outcomes:
The participants will be able to discuss what chronic holding patterns are and how they create pain.
The participants will be able to identify fascial restrictions through visual assessment
The participants will be able to identify fascial restrictions through palpation
The participants will be able to perform a cross hand release.
The participants will be able to preform MFR traction techniques to the cervical spine and limbs.
Participants will learn basic mind centering and focusing techniques. This is to create a quiet mind and to be present in the moment without distraction (a key component to performing Myofascial Release).
