Restorative nursing programs are designed to help residents improve or maintain optimal physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning. Although not required by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, these programs can help long-term care facilities comply with regulations surrounding resident quality care. Restorative nursing programs can also benefit long-term care residents, the direct care staff, and the facility.
