Trauma Focused Prevention and Response to Mass Violence

Course overview

Participants will gain knowledge on how to develop and refine crisis response protocols to ensure effective coordination and intervention in the event of mass violence, will be able to assess individuals for homicidal ideation using evidence-based tools and frameworks to determine risk levels and appropriate interventions, will be able to describe behavioral, psychological, and environmental indicators of potential violence, including warning signs of homicidal ideation, and will be able to name at least 2 trauma informed frameworks clinicians can use for long term treatment of trauma
