Supervision is a process intended to strengthen the quality and skills of behavioral health professionals. Supervisors must develop and manage standard competencies of individual supervisees throughout the supervision process, while maintaining a healthy balance of educational and administrative roles. Unaddressed challenges in clinical supervision can cause problems and lead to ethical violations. Supervisors must understand the common challenges, potential ethical violations, and strategies to mitigate these problems. This course provides helpful information about clinical supervision, focusing on common challenges and strategies for managing them.
