About the Course The purpose of this education program is to present an introduction to cultural humility and offers tools for psychologists and mental healthcare professionals to use when working with diverse patients in a culturally humble manner. Identify factors that can interfere with the counseling relationship between a clinician and clients of diverse cultural backgrounds, including issues related to oppression, privilege, and marginalization. Explain cultural humility as an essential part of counseling, including core components and key considerations. Describe the role of societal and institutional accountability within the counseling context. Differentiate cultural humility and multicultural competency.
