Course overview

This course is a recording of a previously hosted live webinar event. Polling and question submission features are not available for this recording. Format and structure may differ from those of standard MedBridge courses. Occupational therapy practitioners understand they play an important role in fall prevention for their patients. With falls being one of the main reasons people land in the emergency room, we must, as practitioners, work hard to implement the most impactful fall prevention treatment plans possible. This includes using evidence-based assessments for objective data collection and analysis within a treatment plan. Therapists often struggle with tying all the pieces together to create a robust treatment plan for patients due to a variety of obstacles. These may include time, confusion on what assessment to choose, or difficulty interpreting results and making them relatable to care. Learners taking this webinar recording based on the "fall prevention" course series will get to see real-life treatment sessions that will demonstrate the therapist-patient relationship in action while addressing fall prevention.
