Course overview
Adhere to scientifically accepted practices and principles of infection control. List the precautions recommended by the CD to prevent transmission of HIV to health care personnel in the workplace. Describe and employ proper hand hygiene techniques that help reduce the risk of transmitting microorganisms. Use workplace practices and engineering techniques to reduce the risk of infectious disease transmission. List the five main routes of microorganism transmission in hospital-acquired (nosocomial) infections.
