Course overview

Nurses who have not precepted - and some nurses who have - may not have been trained in evidenced-based methods of precepting. Nurses need to be educated on ways to precept that are based on evidence to ensure best patient outcomes. Part one of a two-part series, this program discusses the details of a nursing preceptor program, with topics including the roles and responsibilities of the nurse preceptor, the main principles of adult learning, and various learning styles. There is also a discussion about how implicit bias may impact healthcare.
