Course overview
Trauma-informed approaches offer powerful methodologies for understanding and engaging with the lived experience, perceptions, and motivations of LGBTQ+ youth. In this course, participants will use trauma-informed approaches to best identify and resolve mental health challenges affecting these populations. Within the course, participants will learn how to identify and assess the trauma of LGBTQ clients in order to build a foundation for compassionate, insight-driven, and customizable care models.
