Introduction to Tinnitus: Etiology, Physiology and Patient Treatment-Online

Course overview

This course will provide professionals with the knowledge necessary to ask effective questions of patients during a tinnitus consultation. The course will explain what tinnitus is and the subjective manner in which patients typically describe tinnitus. Professionals will be taught the physiology of what is occurring within the cochlea and brain while patients hear these internal sounds. The course will demonstrate common audiograms associated with the different types of tinnitus and possible treatment and/or realistic expectations to discuss with a patient.
