Course overview

In this workshop, we will identify supervisory skills and roles that enhance supervisee professional development and support the supervisory relationship. Consideration will also be given to the role of the supervisor as the profession's gate-keeper while appropriately managing power differentials. Case examples will be cited from the television show "The Office" and examined through a social service lens-with guidelines and research from fields of psychology, social work, and counselling. Attendees do not need to be familiar with "The Office" to learn from and enjoy this workshop.
