77th FASSW STATE CONFERENCE CREATING CONNECTIONS, FOSTERING GROWTH: TRANSFORMING STUDENTS, SCHOOLS, & COMMUNITIES

Course overview

You are invited to The Florida Association of School Social Workers 77th Annual State Conference at The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, Jacksonville, Florida, March 5 thru 7, 2025. The objective of the conference is to provide up to date, research information, strategies, and interventions to enable us to better address the challenges our students, teachers, parents, and school staff face. The FASSW Annual State Conference pulled together top resources in social work, Counseling and education, to reaffirm and expand the Specialized Instructional Support Professionals knowledge base and specifically improve social work services Counseling within the Florida school districts. The conference theme is Creating Connections, Fostering Growth, Transforming Students, Schools, and Communities, 16.5 CEUs will be provided to Clinical Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling Licensing. Keynote Speakers are Vicki Sokolik from Unaccompanied Homeless Youth, Unhoused, and Alone in America, Ashley Burnette, LMHC, MCAP, and Maggie Dean, Ed.S., NCSP from Beyond Darkness, Cultivating Resilience and Connection to Prevent Suicide in Schools, Aja B. Smith, LCSW-QS, Program Specialist of School Social Workers in Seminole County Public Schools, Roy Miller, BSW from American Children Campaign, Tamika Berry, MSW from Hillsborough County Public Schools.
