This course is designed for Registered Nurses preparing for the IBCLC Certification Exam, focusing on the psychological, sociological, and anthropological aspects of breastfeeding. Topics include the transition to parenthood, the influence of birth practices, maternal mental health, and cultural considerations around breastfeeding. Participants will explore how employment, family lifestyle, support networks, and maternal cognitive factors impact the breastfeeding journey, as well as practical guidance on weaning, safe sleep, and fostering a healthy breastfeeding dyad relationship. This course is not affiliated with the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE).
