Course overview
This is a continuing medical education course on implicit bias in healthcare created to meet the requirements for Michigan healthcare professionals. The goal of this presentation is to encourage an organized approach within healthcare to better understand and challenge patient and clinician biases that impose constraints on healthcare quality. Definitions, research, and contemporary scenarios are addressed to illustrate that implicit bias has the same critical suspicion for both patients and clinicians as it does in attitudes and behavior across our society.
