This course starts with using orthopedic assessments taken from Kendalls Muscles and Testing Function with Posture and Pain 6th Edition. This course begins the study with the therapist understanding ground forces and the transfer of kinetic energy from the ground up. Th course encompasses ankle, knee, hip, lumbar, thoracic spine, and cervical spine. The course takes an in-depth look at all joint movements that create rotation. Other assessments will include measuring individual joint range of motion, manual muscle testing, both in and out of gravity. The course will teach how to use a functional movement screen to achieve less pain and more motion for the client. This course teaches hands on manual therapy skills that address joints creating and limiting motion. There are multiple modalities used for teaching including PP visual, auditory, and hands on. This is a multidisciplinary treatment plan using Massage cupping, Myofascial Release, PNF stretching and Neuromuscular therapy all geared to treating rotational sports such as golf, baseball, and tennis.
