Treating the Trunk and Lumbar Spine using the ATM System

Course overview

This course starts with using orthopedic assessments from the book Kendall's Muscles Testing and Function with Posture and Pain 6th Edition. The author is Vincent M. Conroy. From this book we will be looking at movements of the pelvis, sacrum, and trunk. From this book we will be learning how to use manual muscle testing and a functional movement screen. The Functional Movement Screen will be taken from the book Movement by Gray Cook, MSPT, OCS, CSCS. This course teaches hands on manual therapy skills that address the trunk, lumbar, and sacrum complex. There are multiple modalities used for teaching including PP visual, auditory, and hands on. This is a multidisciplinary treatment plan using Massage cupping, Myofascial Release, PNF stretching and Neuromuscular therapy. Various dysfunctions and injuries will be discussed along with contraindications to perform treatment.
